After the Party!

As the sun set on the evening of September 1st, Cafeina Wynwood Lounge in Downtown Miami was just getting hot. The most fabulous women from all over South Florida joined InterviewHer for their first Ultimate Girls Night Out extravaganza. Once you entered Cafeina’s double doors you were greeted by the ladies of InterviewHer for registration and asked to sign-in to the new social network designed just for women, enabling them to connect with companies, find jobs, discounts and more!

After getting “connected” the VIP ladies received their goodie bags which consisted of exclusive gifts by MODE Cosmetics, BE Platinum, EcoAdepts, Cookies by Shar, Mary Kay, Dollymoo, Zico water, Pop Chips, Bhoom Shanti, Ring Finger Studio, iStylie, and even freshwater pearl earrings by Fashionista on Wheels and Swarovski Crystal & feather bracelets by Mar Y Soul Jewelry!

From 7-8 pm, Cafeina offered free drinks. After 8, guests were treated to a $5 appetizer and drink menu which included Skinny Cosmos, Skinny Cute Cucumbers, and a Skinny Veev- all under 115 calories!

Jenny Ortiz, the founder and owner of InterviewHer.com, came up with the idea for the website with women in mind. She wanted to create a galaxy of everything women. From the latest beauty products, boutiques, and inventive businesses, her goal was to empower women everywhere. Her hard work and dedication has been highlighted through the website’s growth over the past year and a half. Jenny was shown on Channel 6’s morning show: Live Miami the day before the event helping to advertise the remarkable event. Daily Candy also included Interviewher.com’s Ultimate Girls Night Out event in their Weekend Guide.

Although the main room was open to the public, the back room and upstairs areas were where the magic happened. As party-goers sipped on cocktails and swayed to the hottest music, InterviewHer’s guests were treated to an exclusive room in the back of the lounge offering exclusive discounts from 40 to 85% off on the trendiest jewelry and clothing.

The vendors were strategically designated in a spot where they didn’t feel they had to compete with one other, giving everyone a chance to showcase their items happily. Upon entering the room, tables were lined up against the all white walls. All the walls were canvased with marvelous pieces of artwork, while  red and black balloons scattered about the room.

The main sponsors were projected onto a large wall including the anti-poverty organization, FINCA.org, to which InterviewHer donated part of the event proceeds. This organization provides financial services to the world’s lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living.

On the left, Miss Fanatic was selling their sexy collegiate apparel at 40% off. Next was Jewels By Dunn, which offered 40% off their fashionable accessories. To the right was Dance Tech Studios offering FREE dance classes to all the ladies. Fox House was next, they started with a rack full of fashionable clothes, and ended up with only a few pieces by the end of the night.

Shutterbox South Florida

How could we forget Le Greek Boutique?! These ladies brought their own full-blown dressing room and were kind enough to share it with the other vendors. They sold over $1,000 within the first HOUR of the event!
It was such a pleasure to have The Shutterbox South Florida photo booth, who provided branded photos and unforgettable memories to last a lifetime. Candy’s Cake Pops provided free cake pops, as well as discounted ones after that - Red Velvet was definitely a favorite! Next to her was MERLO Style, selling gorgeous cocktail dresses ALL under $60.00! This store was once InterviewHer’s hidden treasure, but the word is definitely out now.
Fashletics was also there, offering unique inspirational jewelry and workout clothing to motivate and inspire athletic women. Also joining us was Jessie Boutique, a South Florida favorite. Their tastefully chic clothing was discounted at least 40% off – something that doesn’t happen quite often! Mayi Jewelry came next, offering trendy jewels that the ladies fawned over the entire night.

Blush Salon graced us with free eyebrow threading and shaping, along with discounted products for everyone. Mar Y Soul Jewelry offered up to 85% OFF their gorgeous jewelry.

The owner, Marysol Inzerillo, won the Ultimate Girls Night Out Miami Summer 2011 Fan Favorite Award. This award went to the vendor with the most fans who physically attended the event.

Last but not least was Control Salon, who offered free blowouts, polish changes and $10.00 feather hair extensions. This station was so hot that the fuse blew a couple times! No worries, we quickly got back on track.

Aimee Pena, who covered a woman head to toe with the InterviewHer logo and rhinestones galore, did fantastic body art.

The event was planned to take place outside where the space was much larger, however due to unforeseen weather circumstances, we moved everything inside. The atmosphere was exhilarating, as upstairs DJ Vixen was mixing the latest music while Ring Finger Studio loaned us their diamonds to pose with our girlfriends in pictures taken by Patty Nash Photography. Also upstairs, Conscious Bite Out joined Moulan Rouge Pole Fitness in showcasing their companies’ innovative ideas.

What’s an event without something going wrong? The microphone wasn’t working to announce the giveaway winners, BUT we still managed to pull through. By 9:15, we announced the winners who received various items from different companies: Oshi Mat gave away two mats; LaMour Jewelry gave away three necklaces – all over $100.00; Mary Kay; Patty Nash Photography gifted someone with a photo package of over $600.00 value; ME! Bath gave away two gifts; Candace Skye Swimwear gave away two gift certificates valued at $115.00; and Moody Skincare gave away a luxurious spa package. The winners were: Maria Cruz, Kristy Gonzalez-Miro, Isy Izquiedro, Mari Martin, Nicole Guilbery, Candyce Hummer, Vero Georgie, Barbara Alonso, Marcella Murillo Lolla, Kristina Toth, Andrea Ocampi, and Natalie Beaton.
