Could you use a face-lift… or should we say your company? Velocitas might have just what you need to revitalize your company’s marketing plan, making you and your company feel like new.patricia-beitler

Birthed in 2002 by president and founder Patricia Beitler, Velocitas is a full service advertising agency that specializes in brand refreshments. It’s common for companies to become “stagnant” in their marketing plans once they’ve been in the business for 30-plus years. What the businesses then need is a modern marketing plan that sets them apart from the crowd.

Revamping a company’s image can have a significantly positive impact. When the business experiences success as a result of Velocitas’ contribution, Beitler is proud with her work. “It’s not about profits for me; it’s never been,” Beitler says.  “I’m really just passionate about helping people and making a change and making a difference in the world.”

Despite servicing global clients such as Coca-Cola, Gilette and IBM, it’s important to Beitler that the Velocitas staff stay grounded. “We’re value-driven,” she says of her company.

Beitler takes pride in being able to demonstrate month-to-month progress for her clients. “What we do is recommend more of a PR plan. We build the brand and we focus on strengthening that brand and have more of a pitching and placement approach.” According to Beitler, finding placement for advertising is often the most cost effective marketing method. This way, consumers have more exposure to the companies.

Developing a successful marketing strategy is not as simple as just throwing an advertisement on a billboard. One of the key components to marketing is having the ability to interpret the client’s needs.  Some clients are open to change, while others are very attached to their current marketing plan. Beitler likes to examine a company’s current marketing strategy and decode how the plan can be improved upon, rather than overhauled completely.

Improvement is something always on this work-aholic’s mind. The desire for improvement is what motivated Beitler to start Velocitas eight years ago. Even though the creation of Velocitas required her to balance two full time jobs, she eventually realized it would take nothing less than 150% of her efforts to start her marketing firm.

“When I first started, I thought everything was going to happen overnight, or at least I wanted everything to happen overnight,” Beitler says. However, once she was able to make a full commitment, everything began to fall into place and her company flourished.

This marketing makeover maven insists dedication and an ability to abandon one’s security blanket are necessary to a successful upstart. But she notes usually people won’t take that risk, and this is what sets Beitler apart from the crowd.

This is a great post. I am a student at FIU and I’m always looking for new information on Marketing. Even though I’m a Biology major, I’ve found that everyone has to know marketing because that’s how you get places in everyday life. If you know how to market by yourself, then you can pretty much get something you like out of life. Thus, making this why I always try and get a read or two about marketing. Thanks again.
