Picture Perfect!

Laura Coppelman is a fresh female photographer based in Miami. She specializes in photographing women and children and recently shared some explanation of her passion with InterviewHer.com:

“A year ago, I walked away from my corporate job to pursue my passion of photography by enrolling in a full-time program at the International Center for Photography in New York. Now, back in Miami I’m developing a business heavily focused on the every day, successful and professional woman. There’s nothing that lights me on fire more than bringing out the natural beauty and confidence of the women I photograph. I encourage my clients to think about what they want to say about themselves through the images. Usually this question provokes a much deeper understanding of who they are and what they value/appreciate/take pride in most about themselves.

Every subject is different, everyone responds differently to direction, but I love watching a person’s confidence and comfort level evolve during the process. Each woman comes to me with different needs; she wants to surprise her husband with a beautiful/sexy portrait of herself, she wants to be photographed to look like Audrey Hepburn, she needs a new professional head shot for Linked IN etc. Once we settle on what she wants to do, it’s important to me to get to know each of my clients well so that they don’t feel uncomfortable the day of the shoot; many of the women I have photographed have become great friends!”

Laura goes on to express how fulfilling and inspiring she finds her business. She loves to translate her clients mind’s eye by capturing their creative outlook and making it a photographic reality.
