These Words

Memories and life experiences are made and happen everyday. They are made around you, because of you and by you. Do you remember them all?

Now, imagine you had an entire book full of memories and experiences to enrich your life and encourage you forward – the best part? These memoirs come from outside perspectives. It’s the perspective of those whom you love, and those who love you inwords-to-live-byreturn.

Alex Suarez-Mondshein is the very first recipient of such a book filled with letters of knowledge and life-words. She is also the president and CEO of the company that now produces this awesome keepsake, but she is not the creator.

After graduating from the University of Miami Alex was given a graduation gift that would not only emotionally melt her heart, but it would physically change her career path too. The gift was a book filled with letters from her closest friends and family. These letters offered words of insight, encouragement and fondest memories shared by the people who love her most. The book instantaneously became priceless to Alex. The creator of this book is someone who could arguably be the one person who has shared in most of Alex’s life: her mother.

Today, Alex has taken this love-filled gift birthed by her mother and grown it into a full-blown business. This sociology major is now a fabulous female entrepreneur making her own way in the world by running her company entitled Words To Live By.

The process of forming the perfect book was not an easy one for Alex (and her mom). She was extremely meticulous with her choice in paper, binding, and overall appearance of the product. After flying to the New York paper shows and doing plenty of research she finally decided on the final product look. Any customer should be happy to know, “the books are made of 100% hand woven silk into which the letters are placed,” assures Alex.

Due to the fact that Words To Live By is solely an online company, it was of great importance to Alex that her website be thorough and exactly what she envisioned. This process was very difficult, took more time than she expected and was a major monetary investment for her. The building of the website began in July of 2010 and was recently launched February 2011. The site – – is imperative to the explanation of the book, how it works and why customers should purchase the overall idea and meaning. Alex and her company create books for all occasions from graduations to weddings and birthdays to retirements.

We love how this meaningful gift is as simple as a few choices in color, select questions and people of importance for the customer. Alex and her company do all the legwork and compilation. These books from Words To Live By have captivated a wide variety of people and the fan base continues to grow, even attracting the likes of Jackie Nespral who is one of the main anchors of Florida’s NBC 6 news channel. Nespral shared the following after receiving a book from Words To Live By, “Our daughter, Frances, was so touched by the book that she was moved to tears. It was a moment that will forever live through the words of her Words To Live By book.”

For Alex the best part of her company is being able to share in the special memories of others as she collects their experiences and insight to pass on as priceless gifts. “I’m in the early stages of my company, but I’m so excited and honored to share in the lives of others and enable them to share their love through these letters in this book,” expresses Alex. She goes on to express how she never imagined her career to turn out as such and after graduation she was steadily headed into her profession at a non-profit organization, as her goal was to make a difference. Today this now businesswoman is still making a difference, just in a different kind of way.

Alex takes wise words to heart and seeks counsel from Words To Live By original idea maker and creator, her mom. She also encourages other entrepreneurs to contact and seek advice from women whom they admire in business. So learn from the experienced and apply it as you move forward with your own company.
